The 32X is the legendary "mushroom" add-on that transforms your 16-bit Mega Drive into a 32-bit powerhouse, delivering enhanced visuals, digital audio, and exclusive arcade ports like Virtua Fighter and Star Wars Arcade.
To function, the 32X requires specific cables and a power supply (details below).
Hardware Compatibility & Regional Matching
The 32X is designed to function only with a Mega Drive console of the same region. Please refer to the table below to ensure your setup is compatible:

Required Accessories (Not Included)
To use your 32X, you will need the following items from our store:
- 1. Patch Cable: Connects your Mega Drive AV output to the 32X input. You must choose the correct cable for your specific Mega Drive Model 1 or 2. Find Patch Cables here.
- 2. 32X AV Cable: Connects the 32X output directly to your TV 32X AV Cable.
- 3. Power Supply: You can use a standard 32X Power Supply, OR we highly recommend our "Tower of Power" All-in-One Adapter to power your Console, 32X, and Mega CD from a single plug!
Condition & Warranty
Condition: These units are 35+ years old! While we deep-clean and test every unit to ensure perfect 32-bit playback, please expect light surface marks or scratches. Note: Actual items may differ slightly in condition from example photos.
12-Month Warranty: Includes full coverage for 12 months. Internal/external tamper-evident seals are applied. Opening or modifying the console voids the warranty.
